IT & ITES Democratic Employees Association (IIDEA) condemns TCS’s mass layoffs of 12,000 employees, automation should not come at the cost of workers’ livelihoods. Our Demands: Immediate Halt to Layoffs–TCS must stop all terminations and explore alternatives like reskilling, reduced workweeks, or voluntary exits with proper severance & benefits. No Forced Resignations – Employees must not be pressured to quit under false performance claims. Full Severance & Benefits – All affected workers deserve fair compensation, extended healthcare, and job transition support. Transparency & Worker Consultation – TCS must disclose layoff criteria and engage with unions before restructuring. Call for Solidarity The IIDEA stands with TCS employees facing this unjust displacement. We urge governments and policymakers to intervene and demand accountability. Corporate profits must not come at the cost of workers’ survival. Automation for Better Work-Life Balance, Not Job Cuts – Technology should reduce employee burden, not eliminate jobs.
