“Decoding IT/ITES Workers’ Rights” — a session hosted by the IT and ITES Democratic Employees Association (IIDEA), a democratic and progressive organization fighting for the rights of both tech and non-tech workers across the digital economy including IT, ITES, BPOs, e-commerce, fintech, digital marketing, and more.
We are affiliated with the All India Central Council of Trade Unions (AICCTU), a central trade union federation committed to the struggles of working people across India. Here, we explore the realities of work in the tech sector from overwork and job insecurity to unionization and legal rights, and why collective action is essential.
We’re joined by Avani Chokshi, a practicing labour lawyer and Uday Kiran, who has over 7 years of experience in the IT industry. Both are National Council Members of AICCTU.
